Before your travel, we are providing guidelines for entering Korea
※ For reference, you can check the information on the website and the latest information regarding policy changes can be found on the link below.
For issuing the letter of invitation for visiting Korea, please submit your information for visa, by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.

Visa

  • Visitors entering the Republic of Korea (ROK) must hold valid passport for at least 3 months and visa to enter the country.
  • Nationals of visa waiver or visa-free countries may enter the country without visa, but must apply K-ETA before departure from your country.
  • Nationals of non-visa waiver countries must apply for visas at the nearest Korean embassy or consulate prior to entering the ROK.

From Boarding to Departure

  1. Step 1.  K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)
    * K-ETA eligible nationals, who wish to enter visa-free the Republic of Korea, must obtain K-ETA approval before boarding the flight.
    * Assessment can take more than 72 hours depending on the situation, so please apply for K-ETA with sufficient time.
    * Valid period of a K-ETA is 2years from the date of approval.
    (If your personal information is changed, a new K-ETA is required even if your K-ETA has not expired.)

    Temporary exemption of K-ETA for 22 countries
    ※ In celebration of ‘Visit Korea Year (2023~2024)’, K-ETA will be temporarily exempted to 22 countries/regions from April 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024 (KST).

         The 22 countries/regions eligible for temporary exemption of K-ETA are as followed: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France,
         Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, US (including Guam) For more information
  2. Step 2.  Q-Code
    * Q-code system is established to shorten the time for quarantine inspection and provide the conveniences overseas entrants require upon entry to the Republic of Korea.
    * You can speed up your entry procedure by input your vaccination history to Q-code beforehand. Go to Q-Code
  3. Step 3. Departure
    * Currently there are no mandatory rule or test before departing from Korea. But please check the entry restriction rules before taking the departure flight from Korea. Check the Entry restriction
